7th Empúries Half Marathon

For Sunday, May 1, we propose an urban and very attractive circuit that takes place in the incomparable setting formed by L’Escala and Sant Martí d’Empúries. You will be able to enjoy our bay which has become part of the club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, a distinction with the endorsement of Unesco which only currently has about thirty bays in the world and which recognizes the tourist values, landscape and cultural of our environment.

Departure will be at 8.30am. from the Archaeological Museum, a place full of historical richness that has been the meeting point and link of all the peoples who have stopped there.

The distance will be 21,095 km. The time limit for the distance will be 3 hours. All athletes who meet the schedule will find the circuit closed.

Provisioning every 3 kilometers throughout the circuit of the 7th edition of the Empúries Half Marathon.
An isotonic drink, water, fruit and Vaseline are available.

Trophies and categories
In the marathon there will be trophies for the top 5 finishers in the men’s general, the top 5 finishers in the women’s overall and the top 3 finishers in each of the categories set out in the regulations. Athletes who obtain a trophy in the general classification will not have a trophy in their category.
The categories
The established categories will be:
Cat. 1 – M / F – Junior, 18 to 29 years old
Cat. 2 – M / F – Senior, 30 to 39 years old
Cat. 3 – M / F – M40, 40 to 49 years old
Cat. 4 – M / F – M50, from 50 to 59 years old
Cat. 5 – M / F – M60, over 60 years old

Dorsals and chips
The bib must be visible on the front of the trunk for the entire race. Runners who do not wear it or wear it will not be included in the classification and will not be eligible for any prize. THE ONLY VALID CHIP WILL BE THE EO.S.

The bib number must be collected at the L’Escala Pavilion on Saturday 30 April from 11 am. at 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. at 8 p.m. You can also pick it up on the same Sunday, May 1, at the Museu d’Empúries one hour before departure, at 7.30 am.

The 4th Fair of the Corridor will be installed in the Pavilion of L’Escala, on Saturday 30 April from 9am. at 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. at 8 p.m. and will coincide with the collection of the bibs. From 5 p.m. You can enjoy an anchovy tasting.
